Challenge Timeline

The event is scheduled to take place during Week 3 to Week 6 of the University calendar. If you are unable to attend a session, there's no need to worry because all sessions will be recorded, and you can still participate.

Information Session

12:00 PM 16th of March

Industry Hub, UWA EZONE 

During this session, you will be introduced to the challenge, deliverables, conditions, and other essential information required to participate in the event. Complimentary food and drinks will be provided, and if you are unable to attend in person, a recording of the session will be made available to you.

Help Session

12:00 PM 24th of March

Industry Hub, UWA EZONE 

This session presents an excellent opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns you may have regarding your desired deliverable with Yara. Rest assured, the session will be recorded and made available to all participants. In case you cannot attend, you'll be email to ask questions via email.

Submission of deliverables.

 

After shortlisting has occurred, the next step will be a presentation of your given solution to Yara management and engineers at their head office in the Perth CBD.

Key Information

Team Sizes - Up to 4 Members (limited to Engineering students in WA, preferably Chemical Engineering)

Time Allocation - You'll spend approximately 15-20 hours working together as a group over the course of three weeks to complete the required deliverables.

Practicum - You will be credited with 15 hours that will count towards Category 2 of your Practicum, thus helping you fulfill your 450-hour work experience requirement.

CPEC Committee Members - You are permitted to participate in Challenge but you will be excluded from the selection panel and other sensitive details.
